[Newegg] Newegg.ca - PayPal 15% Cash-Back

EDIT : LINK TO THE ACTUAL PROMOTION

http://promotions.newegg.ca/NEPro/Paypa ... -PromoWord

---------------

Not sure if this has been posted before, but it looks like [rfdlink=116]NewEgg.ca[/rfdlink] will have a promotion starting December 26. You get 15 % back when you pay with Paypal (credit to your Paypal account).

Link below for more details (can't find any reference to this promotion at [rfdlink=116]Newegg.ca[/rfdlink], but eggxpert is owned by [rfdlink=116]Newegg[/rfdlink] so I assume it's legit).

http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/450363.aspx

Q: What do I get?

A: 15% cash back, up to a $50 CAD discount, on any order (no minimum purchase amount).

Q: When does this happen?

A: December 26, 2008, Midnight (12:01 AM PST) through December 30, 2008 (11:59PM PST) -- or whenever funds run out (whichever occurs first).

Q: What payment method do I need to use?

A: You must select PayPal as your payment method; this offer does not apply to orders placed using other payment methods.

Q: How many orders can this apply to?

A: The cash-back will apply to one order only, and each PayPal account is only eligible for a single cash-back order.

Example: If you place an order for $100 CAD, you'll receive $15 CAD cash back. If you place another order for $100 CAD five minutes later, you'll still only receive the $15 CAD cash back from the first order.

Pro Tip (for math-haters): If you want to take full advantage of this offer (and receive $50 CAD cash back), make sure the item(s), tax & shipping for your order total $334.00 CAD or more in the shopping cart.

Q: Is the 15% cash back applied on checkout, or do I need to pay for my order in full?

A: You'll need to pay for your order in full - the 15% cash back amount will be credited to your PayPal account in 4-6 weeks (ETA is January 31, 2009).

Q: How do I know I'm going to get my cash back?

A: The 15% discount will be seen and verified on the PayPal Express Checkout website (see screenshots below); you will not receive an email or additional notification. The discount will not be displayed on [rfdlink=116]Newegg's[/rfdlink] shopping cart or checkout page.

Q: Is this offer exclusive to a short little list of items that [rfdlink=116]Newegg.ca[/rfdlink] wants to get rid of?

A: That's a big No - the promotion is sitewide and applies to all categories and products, and is inclusive of other ongoing promotions.

Q: Does "whenever funds run out" mean that this offer can end early?

A: Yes. Only a limited amount of funds are available for this cash back promotion. If your order is placed after all of these funds have been allocated to other qualified orders, you will not be eligible to receive cash back - even if your order is placed between December 26, 2008 and December 30, 2008. If funds run out, we will update our website advertisements ASAP to let everyone know.

From OP:

15% of $334 = $50, so it would appear to include shipping/taxes.

Wow, sounds like a great promotion! Too bad Newegg raised their prices to compensate for it.

This was $156.xx last night. Now it's $170.99. That's almost $15. Nicely played, Newegg.

Agreed. More than any other site I've seen New Egg prices change at almost a sneeze.

It's almost like a slot machine when you've bookmarked a product you want and check back on it a day or two later.

But the item has FREE SHIPPING now. That's the balance.
