Default New Year's Songs

I know, I know, it's still a couple of months away, but...

I'm compiling a list of songs for a new year's party. I'd like to cover several genres, so feel free to shoot out your suggestions. Naturally, Auld Lang Syne is already on the list

The Parting Glass - still probably one of the most popular closing anthems after Auld Lang Syne in Ireland and Scotland. Appropriate for New Year's.

Always makes me break a tear or two.

An interesting variation on Auld Lang Syne is "The Millennium Prayer" by Cliff Richard. A big hit in England. It's the Lord's Prayer set to Auld Lang Syne.

And another vote for The Parting Glass. Love that song.

Since we are throwing out suggestions for Auld Land Syne, the Canadian group Barra MacNeil has a pretty nice version of the song. It's acoustic and very simplistic, but it works for me.
