My friend just ask me if it is good to buy the laptop at Notebook Outlet (Pacific mall).
I just tell him "NO", deal with "Notebook Outlet" is kind of high risk. I have the bad experience with them and they broke my Fujitsu laptop without any reason and apology. My another friend also have the bad experience with them as well.

As any teacher/boss/person with intelligence would all agree that you need to provide facts to back up your claims. This OP's post gets a f.

I had a friend who needed some repair done to a Fujitsu Laptop as well - specifically the ac adaptor plug.
Notebook Outlet had signs saying they were an authorized repair center, and the sales guys inside confirmed this. So they say they would do the repair, and it would cost _ _ _. Basically, each time we went to pick it up (after they had 'completed' the repair) it did not work. This carried on for a few months - I don't know the conclusion, but I'll find out and post an update. Quote:

everyone in pacific mall says they're an authorized dealer... before offering a discount if you pay cash (if you pay cash they often don't issue a proper receipt). when making a large purchase it's your responsibility to check their claims and email/phone the manufacturer. pacific mall is filled with grey market products that it's difficult to determine which is legit.
furthermore, some shops are just shells w/ business numbers. there's a huge staff turnover and no guarantees you're receiving the best service -- they might have in-house technicians and void your existing warranty. purchase from an established retailer or order directly from the manufacturer to save hassles. RMA? it should be a hassle-free & professional process. |

Yes, my story was I ask them to repair my laptop and I gave them with box in order to protect my laptop.
However, after a few days when I picked up, my laptop case was broken and my box was missing. The stuff told me that he didn't know anything on this, and gave me a Fujisue number to contact. I asked them if it was the place they gave to repair and they said no. I asked them what was the point if I called them. The stuff told me that I may asked to clarm the warrantly. What a "good" answer!! Afterward a while, I asked who was in charge and brought my laptop to fix and I asked him where was my box which supposed to protect my laptop. He didn't give me any good answer and gave me the address for the repair store. I went the repair store and they said that when they received the laptop, it was broken already. I went back to Notebook Outlet and asked for money back. However, they didn't say anything or even an apology. I saw there were another laptops need to repair, but they just put at the top of each other without any protection. After this, no more deal with this store. I don't mind to give more if the service is good. But Notebook Outlet is really kind of .......

Friends and I have bought notebooks from Notebook Outlet, Pacific Notebook, and CanadaSys. Overall I found that CanadaSys was the better one. I found Notebook Outlet had good price, but the customer service wasn't that good, espeically when no one came to help me and when you see the whole window pasted with paper, you know it doesn't really look professional. Pacific notebook is ok. It's a bit more expensive than the Notebook outlet, but the 2 guys working there (gods know how long) are pretty professional and know how to do their job. CanadaSys had a lot of notebooks demos around and the customer services are really great. Their prices are pretty good too and their notebook forum is awsome espeically if you own a ASUS notebook. I dunno, but seem to specialized in ASUS notebook or something....
