Default Need help with tv choice

Hi
I am looking to purchase a new tv and the budget is fairly tight, $1000 maximum. I am looking for at least a 37 inch LCD or plasma tv. I was wondering in your opinion which is better between these 2

Tv #1
http://www.soyousa.com/products/proddesc.php?t=d&id=422
Price is regular $1099 on sale for $899 had a coupon which made price go down to $880.96 their is also a $200 mail in rebate from office depot which will bring the price down to a total of $680.96 plus tax
Purchased this today on a whim because sale is over today I have not opened it and may return it. I also bought the 2 year extended warranty from office depot for $45. The same tv at walmart is $977.77

tv#2
http://us.sanyo.com/entertainment/te...productID=1481
I can get this tv for $780 plus tax

Or any other recommendations you have on tvs in the $1000 price range?
Thanks

anyone have any advice? I need to make a choice on the tv's today because the sale for the second one ends today.

Also I have another question, on the first tv i can't seem to figure out if it is 1080i or 720p. Does anyone know how you figure it out. It says that it has the Display Resolution: 480i/p, 720p, 1080i.

Thanks

1366 x 768 resolution = 720p
