NEED HELP with Pokemon Fire Red -_-

so i beat the elite four and now i'm trying to finish off the side quests.. but for some reason i can't

first of all.. mewto:

it's supposed to be in the unknown dungeon beside cerulean city, but the guy is still standing in front of the cave and he says that i have to do something special AND beat the elite four to get in. i found out that you had to get a "level two link" on One Island (presently it is a "level one link") in order to get into the unknown dungeon.

my question is, how the heck do u get a "level two link"?

secondly, in order to reach the other 4 islands of the sevii islands, i have to get some ruby thing from a cave. this cave is supposed to be at the bottom of mt. ember, where i'm supposed to defeat two rocket grunts in order to get into a cave. the walkthrough i was looking at said that i could do this after i beat the elite four, so i did. but then when i go to see the two rocket grunts and talk to them, they don't tell me not to go into the cave like they're supposed to. they said the exact same thing they did when i talked to them BEFORE i beat the elite four. so what the heck am i supposed to do?

thanks, took me a while to find the part i needed to, but i think it helped. i'll try it tonight.

okay.. i can't figure out what's so special about the "transformation cave", which is north of island 6 (sevii islands)

i looked up some walkthroughs but all of them say they don't know what it is as well. some say it's shaped like mew, and that the only pokemon you can find there is zubat (which is true.. i've been only seeing zubat) but others are saying that there are rare pokemon in here as well.. but they don't know how to make them come out.

can anybody help me?
