To begin, the way my girlfriend and I met was already magic-like. 6 years ago (I was in grade 12, while my girlfriend was in grade 10, but from different schools) met off the internet ON valentine's day (clearly I didn't have much attention from girls at that point, since I was on the internet that day haha). We didn't speak much since we didn't have much in common at the time, so we practically talked 3-4 times a year to see how we were both doing. But we never met. Who would've guessed we would be together 6 years later?
![]() Anyways, on our first valentine's day she was on her work term in Toronto, while I was stuck in Waterloo studying. She works till very late hours, and I didn't have a car to drive back and forth. Knowing this, I rented a car during the afternoon, got her favourite sushi platter, got her the typical dozen roses, and baked this little heart shaped cake which took me DAYS to perfect! (It really tasted awful the first few tries). So when she got off at 7pm, I basically called her and started teasing her about "what she was going to do without me on v-day??" She got a bit frustrated, and said "I guess NOTHING, since SOMEONE didn't come out to see me!!!" 10 seconds later, she sees me outside the office doors with roses, and started tearing up Soon after, we went back to her place and we shared the platter with her mom and dad, and we just spent the rest of the evening at her home just snuggling in the comfort of each others presence But that wasn't the end of the night. How can you end V-day with out a little tiny gift ![]() So what I did was before I picked her up, I left little notes around her house which contained clues of where the next note may be hidden. Once she finds all the clues, there were colored letters in each of the notes, and she had to sort them out to see the final location (Btw, my gf loves puzzles, so she thought it was the sweetest thing in the world! At the end, the puzzle spelt out "garage", and there was a nice cozy cashmere blanket with our names sewn on it (First time I EVER sewed for ANYONE lol). I also sewed the following quote which said: "for the days that I may not be around to keep u warm in my arms...."After that, we hugged each other (she wasn't willing to let go haha), but yes we had to part ways since she still had work the nxt day and I had school So the worst part was driving BACK to waterloo at 3am in the morning But all in all, I think it was all worth it Sorry if it was too mushy guys! haha But I hope I stimulated some ideas for some of the gents in the audience!!HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!
