I'm trying to find out what size mud guards I should be looking at for my 2008 Tucson. There are a variety of sizes out there and I've no clue which is the one for my car.
Many thanks to anyone who can provide an answer. |

Depends what you're looking for - style - you want to hit up a dealer to see what they offer. If you're looking for function, a set of actual rubber ones from a jobber would work well. Ultimate function, you get a set of aluminum flaps, and a set of rubber ones, and rivet them together so the rubber flaps hang down about 3 to 4" past the aluminum.
Aluminum provides better protection for your paint, but the rubber hanging down will provide some give so if you hit something low clearance, it won't rip your fender off by hitting the aluminum flap. Heavy gravel road users use these.

I'm looking more for function than style. I actually use my SUV as a sports vehicle and regularly go through mud and all. I've been told to avoid the stiffer ones as they'll break more easily and as the dealer guards are somewhat stiff, I'm looking at softer rubber ones. I just have no idea about the size.
