Iconshot Mercedes-Benz Smart Car October Incentives [FLYER ATTACHED] [HUGE]

3 years ago I stumbled across RFD, and have been a local ever since.

From saving money, getting freebies and going at it in the old and retired political section RFD has been one of best Canadian sites I've stumbled upon.

I was once active in the BST section, my feedback's available here http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/itrader.php?u=46734

I'm a business associate of Mississauga Mercedes and am here to help the RFD community out (Heartland, 401/Mavis)

There are only 2 Smart Pure's left in Ontario!

September Incentives for Smart

[Rebates apply to ALL lease, finance and cash purchases

Smart Pure w/AC: $15840
Mobility Rebate: -$2000
Smart Event: -$700
B2B Rebate: -$500 (business card necessary to be eligible)
3 Years Free Scheduled Maintenance
--------
$12,640

A $500 Grad rebate is available too for those who graduated in 08, 09 or who are currently enrolled

For anything Mercedes-Benz send me a PM.

Sincerely,
Christian

Hey Kinki,

While I am designated for Smart, I can refer you to the sales manager to help with a C300 purchase.

Sent you a PM.

Are there any plans for a diesel smart car in the near future?

the original one was a diesel but they removed it from the lineup because it couldnt meet the new standards.

people were getting 55-65mpg real world with it.

From my understanding there is not due to what Dina_E noted, about new emission regulations.

Mercedes Benz USA determined there wasn't enough demand for a diesel version either, because of their market size their decisions often trickle down to the Canadian branch.

GateGuardian with July's incentives along with the discount I'd be able to offer you it'll make up for what would be saved overtime with a diesel version.

Sent you a PM, all PMs have been responded to!

Hey, I've found out about the air miles program.

The $2000 air miles discount is stackable with the $2000 incentive. It requires 9500 airmile points to be eligible for the discount.

PMs answered.

i got a good question

why are smart cars so easy to tip over?

and why is the damage so substantial to the car that its not worth fixing if it happens to your smart car?

by the way, do u know Joe yang? tell him his buddy from honda says hi

I've had a Smart car since Friday and have done over 350km worth of driving on both city and high way roads. I never feel the car go up on one side and always feel planted to the ground.

Have you drove the new model? It's wider than the previous one which helps it stay glued to the ground.

While I'll have to ask a tech. your question about damage, I believe any car that rolls or flips to a side would require extensive repair causing insurance companies to write it off instead of repairing.

I do know Joe, I'll let him know you said "hi", is your name Paolo?

just tell him a stranger that you chatted with on a message board who doesnt't want to give his real name out says hi to him hopefully he will be ok with that. lol j/k man, i dont theink he knows who i am based on their board names lol.

what i meant about tipping over is one of my neighbours was dropped of by a friend one nite at 3:00 am on his street, he happened to be piss drunk to the max, he did not remember which house was his, so he was walking up and down the street a few times, he saw the neighbours brand new smart car, and he decided to have a lil drunkin fun and lifted up one side, and toppled it on its side. he was so drunk that he didn't know people were watching him do this, nor did he care, before he got arrested.

thats the story.

HI Christian,

Thats awesome when us RFD members end up working where we end up working. It can add credibility to help you when you've been an RFD member for awhile. We're able to share deals, insider info and post up information to help other RFD members get the best deal possible.

You're in Mississauga too, we should get together for lunch sometime.

Tung

Not sure how to respond to this question to be honest, it's a tall in height but short length wise and weighs 1800lb. While I have a hard time believing he picked it up, I wouldn't be surprised out of drunken boredom he ran into the thing several times until it fell over - although I've got no idea, I tried pushing one to the side and didn't get much leeway and I'm a pretty big guy.

Tung, I agree with you completely, it's the reason why I opened this thread.

Once I get settled in I'd be happy to grab lunch with you sometime where we could both go over dealership politics, lol.

Give me a couple weeks and I'll drop you a PM.

Chris.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Smart USA has no plans to offer a diesel-powered version of its Fortwo micro car in the United States, the division's president said Wednesday.

Dave Schembri of Smart USA said the gasoline alternative has not been in its plans because strict regulations in the U.S. would make it difficult to sell a diesel car in all 50 states.

not worth importing them to canada alone so we get scrapped as well.

Dina, I was acknowledging you were correct about us not receiving a diesel version, not a disagreeing.

My post doesn't even make sense, guess I was tired!
