At Home is operated by MemberWorks, the same company that operates LifeStyle Rewards. Check my post from last year (Jul 22) about it: http://forums.redflagdeals.com/showt...estyle+rewards. That membership costs $100 currently, and offers very similar rewards. Personally, I never had a problem with them.
I think that they got in trouble for their automatic renewal policy, but that isn't so bad, since they send you a notice 1 month prior to the renewal. Last edited by Slartibartfast; May 24th, 2005 at 05:54 PM.. |

originally posted Jul 23rd, 2004, 11:34 PM : It's not too much followup work especially if you order a bunch at a time. Like buy out the gift cards limit and cancel within the 30 day trial. You'll have to wait till the first week of the following month for your 20% to be credited, so just cancel right afterwards :-) Believe me, you'll be able to use up the gift cards, if not your friends and family members will beg to buy off you! If you have any questions about them just post as I've probably had more experience with them than most RFDers. ------- originally posted Jul 24th, 2004, 03:39 PM : yup, it's similar but At Home is based in Quebec and so far there haven't been many complaints that I've heard. Still a good deal if you do a lot of shopping and have friends/relatives who want them as well. Like I said, I saved $975 last membership (not including the monthly fee which was evened out by the rebates). I had no problems cancelling either. Oh and I just remembered, the first time I wanted to cancel they offered me Gas rebates if I stayed. I felt a bit cheated because they offered it only when I wanted to cancel. The grocery rebates are for Citibank promo members only. I got the two mixed up. So if you sign up, be sure to ask for the Gas rebates or threaten to cancel. I will edit my original post accordingly. no, the shipping is free of course. And as for shipping method, depends on how many you order like if I order a lot at once they ship by Purolator I think, otherwise it's by lettermail. Afterall, they are as good as cash if it were to get lost

Interesting! Reading the post I keep wondering what I'm interpreting that's incorrect. Seems to good to be true.
So if I sent in a $300-$400 grocery bill + a $200 electric bill each mth a person can get a $10-$15 rebate for each one, while the cost/mth is only $11.xx. Then on top of that you can order up to $500 worth of stuff from the stores listed?!?! Wow, please tell me what's wrong with this! |

I don't know about electric bills, but I did get 4 x $15 for grocery receipts (any receipts over $25?), so I got $60 back in the first year with LifeStyle Rewards. They did not offer the rebates for my second year of membership, and since I could not guarantee that I would order enough gift certificates to recoup my costs, I cancelled.
You can reach LS Rewards at 1-800-847-7860. |

I accepted their trial offer but decided that it wasn't for me, thought I'd just spend too much. When I called to cancel the guy offered me $100 in gas coupons to reconsider. Don't have a car but if I did I would've changed my mind.

you might want to double check what's offered when you sign up since it can change at any time. Just that when I signed up my second time a few weeks ago I got all these included (the first membership I got the security alarm coupon thing to but I don't need that so I didn't ask).
And yes, you buy these gift cards at 20% off and get those rebates as long as you're a member and pay the $11.95 per month. Sounds like I was on the same deal as "Hugh Jass". Maybe At Home has more rebates than Life Styles Slartibartfast : Did you sign up through a Citibank telemarketer? As far as I know they're the only ones who can provide grocery rebates. |

This is a thread in May.
http://forums.redflagdeals.com/forum...ad.php?t=77007 I was offered Life Style for $99. Same offer I think. I found out it just too much pain to earn the rebate etc. Hence, I cancelled before the membership would cost me real money. I don't buy enough from FS, Canadian Tire, etc, to justify that $99 membership fee. |
