For those living in Western Canada, London Drugs has 50pk 700mb CD-R's for 19.99 a pack (limit 2 per customer) for their "Boxing Week Blowout" sale.  No rainchecks.

For those who care, LD opens at 9 am, for your Boxing Day insanity pleasures.

Sorry, I accidently just put the name in the Title.

They are Maxells.

Also, they have a spindle of 100 Kodaks (74 minute) for 50 dollars.

Not the best brands, but not to bad.

As for speed ratings, I can't make it out on either picture.

Whee! Can you say pricematch with Futureshop!!!

Both stores carry the same cd's. Buy em at FS and then they'll give you %5 of the diff or something like that.

darn i forgot to put that in my post.  With the FS pricematch just shown them the flyer or a scan of the flyer and they'll PM right away no hassle.  I've even heard that some FS stores will pricematch with a phone call even if you don't have the flyer.

FS may not PM since LD charges the Levy.
I forgot how much per disc though.
But maybe the FS people don't know about the levy thing

according to this link, "The levy is paid by the Manufacturers and
Importers of Blank media in Canada to the CPCC
(Canadian Private Copying Collective)....."
not the retailers.

Don't know why London Drugs are charging the
levy? They are misleading the consumers that
they have cheaper price.

I've done many cdr PM with staples before, but i've never tried FS.  they don't even care that LD charges that levy, they just go with the advertised price.  I'm quite sure they'll PM with advertised price, regardless of levy. now i'm hoping the local FS stores have those cdrs in stock.

The cdr levy is 21c/disc but is payable at the point of manufacture OR import. In otherwards, prepare for a big bill if you import a 100 pack of CDRs from the US.

:0 Do you people seriously believe anyone will honor a Price Matching policy on a Boxing Day Sale?
Read the fine print on the Price Matching.
