Mark Wahlberg is in final negotiations to play the lead role in Twentieth Century Fox's Max Payne live action movie. Payne is a DEA operative deep undercover, snared between avenging the mafia murders of his wife and child and being framed for the murder of a fellow agent. Mark was great in the Departed and i have no doubt that he'll do a good job with this one.

I can see him doing the monotone dialogue that Payne does in the game's cut scenes. Good choice!

Loved that game, may be time to play again.

MW would be a good choice, but he's need to get rid of the accent.

hes a very good actor compared to the rest of the crop. and this aint an action movie as much as it is a novel being told on screen. think sin city, see max payne.

He isnt the best... But he gets a lot of work for a reason!
He's good @ being a hardened tough guy.

Nice choice. Wahlberg is a good actor. I still have to see We Own the Night, but I watched most of his films.

I always saw someone more like Clive Owen or Daniel Craig as being more suited to play Max Payne.

Not bad. I can see Mark as Max Payne... sans the height and squinty eyes.
