Default lowcostdiscs.com?

Hey guys,

My friend wanted to know if anyone has used lowcostdiscs.com before? She is worried if they are legit and if they sell things without the covers?

Any info you can give me will make her a happy camper.

Thanks

Default lowcostdiscs.com is a scam

I ordered the 22 DVD set of Baby Einstein for $89.95 for my nephew's 1st birthday. I ordered it on January 20th 2007. My credit card was charged and it was paid through pay pal. I have yet to receive my merchandise. They do not respond to emails or answer phone messages. I made a complaint to Pay pay on February 17th 2007. They sent an email to the seller (lowcostdiscs.com) and never received a response from them. They also can not retrieve my money back. My advise to anyone who is considering ordering from them don't IT'S A SCAM!!!

If anyone else has been scammed by them I would like to know thanks.

Angry Similar problem - filed a complaint at the BBB

Hi,

I have a similar problem: I ordered a DVD set, sent a money order and am now waiting for any kind of feedback (so far no response to email, inquiries via web contact form; calls always reach the answering machine with the option to leave a message, no callback).

I filed a complaint at the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org). This is easy (and free) - just go to the website and fill out a form with your personal data and a short description of the problem.

I'm not sure if this will help, but in any case the BBB will collect the complaint(s) and add these to their reports about the company. The BBB can also inform other law enforcement agencies which might be able to take appropriate steps. Therefore I recommend everyone who has problems with lowcostdiscs.com to file a complaint at the BBB.

Thumbs up I bought from them

I bought the 23 DVD baby einstein set from lowcostdiscs.com and received it very quickly (though I am in Texas like they are, so the post office is fast delivering in the same state). Everything was fine. I do not know what problems others are having but I found them through this forum and bought giving them a try since I can always dispute it if they did not send me my items. The only problem with them is they do not have a lot of anime, which is the main thing I am looking for right now at wholesale prices. Can anyone direct me to a site with low prices on anime? I can get it at the malls, but it is VERY expensive!

have you checked all the baby einstein dvd's? i purchased the set and about half of them are defective. they skip and stop during play. i've tried contacting the company, but like the first poster, they do not reply. even though i used google checkout, i don't think i have much recourse.

they are obviously selling defective dvds.

Unhappy Try the BBB

Hi,

try a complaint at the BBB. According to the BBB report lowcostdiscs.com solves most (but not all) of the complaints.

In my case I (no delivery) got a reaction from lowcostdiscs.com after filing a complaint at the BBB saying that they will send the DVDs again. Some time after that I got a gift parcel from China to my billing address (not to the shipping address) containing the ordered DVDs.

Good luck!

Unhappy Total scam. I paid $125 for pirated disks!

I ordere CSI seasons 1-6 boxset from what I thought was an american company and received what looked like a reasonable product, until I opened it (YEP the Point of no RETURN). All of the disks look suss and pakced not in individual cases in the cheap dustcovers you get in a cd wallet that you pay $2 for. And just to clarify, this so called premium box set that useally retails at over $500 was imported from China and the packaging quoted that the contents were valued at $10. The product works fine, but it is not what we ordered... I really wonder how any of this can be legal.

Your not paying for the packaging but the movies/shows it self.
