Linux Home Theater PC... Best "install" of linux??

Hello all,

I have an older PC with a ATI all in wonder in it. I want to use it as a dedicated HTPC... Actually, it is a secondary unit as I also have a Windows MCE pc that I use as my main HTPC. I just want to set up the other machine so I can play around with it and use it in another room.

I have never installed Linux before so I am looking for a version to install that would be best when using it as a HTPC. I will be installing MythTV and I was just wondering if there was a version/build of Linux that is best for running MythTv, video editing,etc,etc.... Any suggestions??
