Anybody wanna adopt me and assume all my bills? jokes.

Seriously though, I envy those who have a family wife and kid to look forward to, coming home from work everyday. Such a happy feeling. Nice to have a happy family you can call your own. At least that's the general thought.

The leap from being a kid, to a teenager, graduating, joining the rat race, getting married, having kids, a car, a home, and accumulating MASSIVE amounts of debt in the process (most people in general are poor money managers, myself included) seems to all happen in the blink of an eye and inevitable. Life seems so linear and cookie cut sometimes. Having said that, I still would like to have a family of my own someday. But I also realise sometimes things don't go the way you want them to. I realise that.

For me, I can't even take care of myself, nevermind dreaming of having a family one day, and god forbid I have a child to my name and the responsibility of being a parent. I'm confused as ever about life more than any other time. Most people my age have things all figured out and have their lives together.

Why rush things? Lots of time in the future to have a family (especially if you're a guy and don't have the biological clock to worry about!), focus now on having fun with all your freedom. That's what we did, lots of travelling and excitement pre-kids, now we're happy to be settled down and stick close to home most of the time.

Sounds like you've got a lot of work to do to get your life in order.... what makes you think it'll be easier by adding a wife and kid(s) into the equation?

And I agree with the previous poster. Why rush things? Many of my friends who got married and settled *too* early are the ones who are envious of the freedom I have to drop things at a moments notice and travel out of town.

Now's the time to get things out of your system and do the things you've always wanted to do
