Default LF: Overhead projector

Something like http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/ca...affixedcode=WW

Dont really care about the model (or even its second, third or fourth hand) as long as its bright (3000 lumens and up) , oh and cheap too

Im going to use it for my DIY: Home Projector. The colour? You mean the plastic body? LOL I really dont care

I just care about the brightness (3000+ lumens ) Budget is quite low as I have to shell out quite a bit more for a LCD monitor. Say $50-100.

the link you provided for staples sells it for 249 ...50 bux would be cheap especially for the amount of lumens you are looking for...

Overhead Projectors
Building a DIY Projector using an LCD Panel is simplified by purchasing an overhead projector (OHP for short). Extreme DIY'ers may rip the projector to pieces and only use a handful of the parts. Alternatively, the projector might be used by replacing only the lighting setup, or just used as is. Whatever the purpose, below is a list of common projectors, projector basics, and projector results.

Also, when using an overhead with an LCD panel, 2000-3000 Lumens is minimal but will still provide light for a completely dark room, 4000 Lumens works well in a semi-dark room, and 7000-8000 Lumens will provide the best picture, even in a semi-lit room.

^^^ is that what you wanna do?

Yep you got it. The more lumens the better. The nice 3000-7k+ models are too expensive if bought first hand. In fact the OHP alone would go over my entire budget, especially when you consider that for almost all projects, the LCD monitor is the major component (and correspondingly more expensive too) Thats why Im looking for a deal
