Anyone who has traveled outside North America are probably familiar with Fanta. For those who don't know what Fanta is, it's a carbonated orange drink, though it also comes in many other fruit flavours. It's more popular than Coke or Pepsi in many countries outside North America (though the Fanta brand is owned by Coca Cola).

Anyway, does anyone know if there are any grocery stores/retailers in the GTA (Toronto, Mississauga or Brampton) that sell Fanta?

I'm a big Fan of Fanta too.
I've found a store that sells it in Oakville. Imported from Eastern Europe.
Otherwise, I found the President's Choice Orange soda to be pretty close to the orange Fanta. Give it a try.

dont know about which fanta you guys are used to drinking, but the one in the middle-east tastes identical to every other orange carbonated drink ive had. the minute maid one and orange crush. it's all the same, unless the one sold in eastern europe is totally different for whatever reason...

If your in mississauga, you can go to that chinese center on dundas, the supermarket there has fanta. The grocery store is kinda gross, but hell how hard is it to skrew up a bottled drink, i'd just make sure to check the expiry date.

Ouuuuu I love Fanta

Yea I've been looking for it in Toronto too. And this Tamil Grocery Store in front of my building sells it.

Its in scarborough, on bridletowne Circle (north east corner of the intersection at warden and finch) in a plaza called "Echo Plaza".

The store's name is Yarlton. I havn't seen them sell it in cans though. Just the glass bottles. Hope this helps.

There's a store on Weston Rd and 401 called "The Holland Store" that sells it for $1.99/can ...ouch. It's too bad Coke isn't distributing Fanta in Canada. I know there's Minute Maid and C Plus, but it just isn't the same. And the packaging isn't as cool ...haha!

I collected cans from the different countries I traveled to last summer, then took pictures with my digicam in Amsterdam, before I threw them out. The Orange flavour still tasted the best, imo:

Thanks for the tip. I've seen it for sale in another Tamil grocery store at Finch/Middlefield, but the bottles were really dirty. Next time I'm in the T.dot I'll swing by.

In the Toronto area we have a grocery chain called Fortinos. Dunno what there is out Ottawa way, but Fortinos usually has a small section of odd ball items from various places (including Spaghetti-o's for example) that usually includes flavours of Crush like Birch Beer and Pineapple.

If I am correct, Fortinos is one of those Loblaws-owned grocery stores that sells PC and No-name. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any Fanta at regular Loblaws, and there aren't any Fortinos in Ottawa. Next time you pop down there, let us know if they have it.

As for the PC soda, it is close, but I still prefer the original. PC (made by Cott) has a weird aftertaste.

Hey blke, have you tried Fanta Passion yet? If not, then you are missing out! It's damn good stuff -- better than the orange. :P

Hey there Smoove,

I was wondering if you (or anyone else for that matter) knew if Fortinos sold Fanta Passion on a regular basis? What store do you go to in particular?

Thanks in advance!

Most European delicatessens sell Fanta. There is a number of stores on Roncessvalles Ave. (Benna's Bakery is the best one - 135 Roncessvales)
In Mississauga I would try 1906 Dundas St.E
Also Highland Farms use to sell Fanta (maybe they still have it).
They have a Fanta in US now. I bought 12 -2L bottles at Food City or something 69c a bottle. All gone now.

Try any Russian or Ukranian stores in etobickoe or High Park area they have a large variety, but to tell you the truth ive been drinking fanta since early age and there are regular drinks that taste just like it.
