Title says it all - he's rough on stuff ... well, things fall. We still have story cassettes, and I have story mp3s. The old Fisher Price cassette player is pretty played out. Most of the stuff I see in stores is too fragile to survive the next five years. And, I want it to sound ok 'cause I have to listen too.
Something around $100? Can go higher if it's worth it. Owl |

Bought a cheapo boombox at FS and it now refuses to read most home-made mp3 cds.
As mentioned elsewhere in these threads, mp3 boomboxes don't get great reviews. I listened to three or so at FS recently and the best radio sound came out of the Sony CFD-S20CP - and it has a cassette player to boot. Anyone have any experience with this thing, or know where to get it for less than the $150 FS price? I missed the $20 off last month .... Owl |

Thanx - I think I need something pretty rugged. It's be nice if this thing lasted a few years.
Anyone have experience with those cylindrical JVC boomboxes? Kabooms, I think ... there's an American model here. I like the guitar amp feature, but it's a bit pricey for my taste. On the other hand ... it's cool. Owl |

Fisher price and Disney make "kid proof" electronics. I dunno about MP3 tho - that might still just be geared to the adult market.
