It's very young for us but he's growing up under the NBA system. Hard to make judgments with all that temptation hovering around him ALL the time.
He can afford being a daddy now

He sounds really excited and mature about it... congrats to him!

It is a bit young, but he seems very mature. If you're mature to be playing professional basketball, you should be mature enough to be a dad. He probably won't even be doing most of the work, it'll be the mother or a nanny.

Hope he doesn't end up pulling a Shawn Kemp.

Why is 19 too young to have a kid? He's got plenty of money to provide anything they kid may need. He's traveling just as much now as he will be 10-15 years from now.

Yes he has the money to afford a marriage and a baby, but are they reporting that he is getting married? These guys are on the road most of the year, and even when they aren't on the road they will be surrounded by hot women - especially someone of Lebron's fame and stature.

We all thought Kobe was a good clean guy, wouldnt cheat on his wife and such...then we had the rape trial. I guess the question is can Lebron be a good father if he isn't there for his children as he goes away populating a small village.

Good for LeBron - hope this works out for him. Kids can be a positive influence and I hope that it will be. Hope he does get married though - for both the mother's sake, kid etc. Legal issues - I can see them coming.

I was being sarcastic, I didn't put it in my post but I was a HUGE Super Sonics fan when Kemp was in his prime and that fat, lazy, selfish jerk ruined everything.

That was also why I said at least Lebron had the baby with his Girlfriend unlike Kemp. Kemp just slept around.
