Not sure if Dell will have any boxing day deal, but Best Buy has a good price on a Compaq Laptop with DVD-RW for Boxing Day. It's on thier cover page.

In my opinion the BestBuy "Compaq Presario V2030US Pentium M 710 1.4GHz Laptop" is surely an old crap sitting around, although its still listed at $1799 on BB & FS web site http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/prodde...wdeptid=20001# . Pentium M 1.4 GHz came out almost more then 1 1/2 year ago. The latest laptops are 1.8 to 2 Ghz or over centrinos. One can usually find Pentium M 1.4 GHz laptops on ebay for $900

The Pentium-M 710 was only released in a few weeks ago, which along with the 14" widescreen LCD clearly indicates that the laptop is brand new model. Though I would doubt that it would go for virtually half price (unless it's only like 1 per store).

I agree, the CPU is probarbly the newer one with higher FSB, but, yet, its the slowest of centrino chips...
whats bad in buying a Dell 600m CENTRINO 1.4 laptop of eBay http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...tem=6729312462
Its got sold for $900 Cdn...FS & BB always every other week have $400 off, off their over inflated prices. So, the boxing day deal is nothing exclusive.
