Hey just came back from Anitec with my new GTO2. ATI tool shows 16 pipes. I haven't tweaked it much but ran ATI Tool Core test till it crashed at 530 core?
What is a typical safe core for this card? I am sure I could run stable at 500 but just wondering what your opinions are?

Currently 572/610, though the person I bought this card from (zhy) put in a vmod and a viperjohn heatsink. I am running the heatsink at about half voltage though most of the time.
With a bit better cooling (it's a bit of a tight fit between the top of the heatsink and my soundblaster card), it was running at 612/612 I believe. Update: With a bit more tweaking, no artifacts show up until memory passes 635, though it seems the core can't handle much more then 580 without crossing into crashing after about 5 minutes of artifact detection in ati tray tools. So now running at 572/621 stable for everyday usage and gaming. Last edited by matkun; Feb 12th, 2006 at 01:12 PM.. |
