Default Jay Z's Album Leaked In Africa

Quote:
October 13. Jay Z fans have been anxiously awaiting the release of his latest album Kingdom Come. Last week the fans got an early preview when tracks from the album were leaked on the internet.

Since the reported leak, Def Jam has been scrambling to find out how this could have occurred. The company even went as far as contacting the F.B.I. - threatening to press criminal charges against the leaker. But it now appears that they'll never be able to catch the culprit. In a MediaTakeOut.com exclusive, we've learned that West African thieves are most likely responsible for the leak of Jay Z's album.

MediaTakeOut.com spoke with a man who claimed to know exactly where the leak originated. According to our source, who is a recent immigrant from West Africa, thieves swiped a copy of the album while Jay Z was touring on the continent. The source told us, "Jay Z left a copy in his hotel [room] and someone took it." Minutes after the theft, our tipster claims, the album was sent via email to counterfeiters around the world.

And our source's story seems to be corroborated by evidence. Yesterday MediaTakeOut.com visited a street vendor in Brooklyn who was already selling bootlegged copies of Kingdom Come. That vendor told us that the bootlegged copies had recently arrived from Africa. And he even defended selling the stolen recordings, saying, "with the economy the way it is, you have to do what you can to make money ... besides this is America - everything is for sale here."

So how long does it take to upload something fro Africa?

They're not fans if they're taking the album and spreading it on the Internet this early.
Probably someone eager to rob Jay-Z ... what's more valuable at this point, a chain or THIS album?

What, is he just carrying pressed copies around with him in his pocket?

Mixed emotions in me right now, yes I feel bad for Jay Z, he has a long career and the CD that takes him outta retirement has leaked. I am anxious to hear it and see it, but man, this guy has a lot going for him. Don't need to be jacked, I don't think I am going to download it, I'll just wait another month for the real release. Jay Z is the only person that I buy CD's for, he deserves it

I think just buying an album without hearing the songs on it in this day and age just isn't wise. It's like buying into the "Image" instead of the "Music" ...

I'll download it just like I download any other album and if it's any good, I'll buy it ... if it isn't, I won't.
The same thing exists at all the music stores, which allow you to listen to the albums.

Just sucks if it's REALLY that far out and leaked and it's still so early.

Don't let the Media fool you. I happen to be from a country in west africa and I can tell you that North american rap is huuuugggeee there. Also, despite what you may think africa isn't mostly aids and poverty. Africa has its rich places and its pour places just like any other country or continent.

From seeing Worldvision on T.V. I actually thought that Africa was poor as hell, and all they did was sit there and let the people film them

Africa is not poor at all. Its corrupt. Most of the continent has some of the richest mineral deposits in the world, not to mention HALF the worlds diamond supply. There are billionaires living there, in luxury unfathomable by Canadian standards. Granted, they're few and sparse, but they're there. Some of the largest houses i've ever seen are in Africa. They literally 'dwarf' the houses here. Some are 30...40,000sq/ft palaces.

I also want to add that the worlds fuel solution also lies in Africa, and they're just starting to tap into that. Its not oil btw. You'll start to hear about it soon enough. Jatropha.

It's tough to upload an album when you live in a sandbox.
