I just came across this browsing at Monoprice. Gonna buy it as a stocking stuffer for my gf. Looks to be a great deal for only $15.23 (shipping to Ontario was $2.73 for me)
For every battery charge it can charge the iPhone around 1.5times.

why not just carry around a car battery and hook it up?

seriously though, it does look a little clumsy and big, but the price is decent.

I highly doubt it meets safety standards. The ce mark is probably counterfeit.

This conclusion is based on what? Monoprice.com is a very reputable e-tailer.

So all battery backup packs are not recommended because the one you purchased runs hot? How about some useful info like the actual one you purchased so people know which one to avoid rather than painting all similar products with the same brush.

Under what kind of scenarios are ppl using this for? If I was not going to be home for awhile, I would have my car charger or bring a charger with me. Eventually I am going to be at an outlet.

Travellers? People who are on the go all day and don't own a car or don't wanna have to go sit in their car for 20 mins to charge their iPhone/iPod Touch?

Monoprice has a great reputation. I'm wondering about this vs. the $20ish Energizer one at Newegg.ca

Dude, why so defensive? What's happening these days? Posters are so argumentative the last few days on RFD. Too bad there wasn't a rule that if people try to make this place an unhappy place, they would be INSTANTLY banned.

You can get those jackets for like $30 nowadays... Isn't it that much at Newegg right now?
