I'm getting alot of wind noise in my camcorder?

I Just bought a Sony MiniDV Camcorder and every time I record something out side I get really loud wind noise, can I change a setting to make it less?

This is a very common issue with handheld camera. There's not much you can do unless you want to use an external mic (if the camera even supports that.)

Read the manual if you haven't. My Hitachi can be set to reduce this when used outside. I would think this is a standard feature on most camcorders.

Try to ghetto-rig a muff onto the mic.
