HP Pavilion - no sound with Win XP SP2

Help please! I just bought an HP Pavilion DV6105CA Turion MK-36. It has a Conexant sound card which was working until I upgraded my Win XP to SP2. I've tried everything including running HP diagnostics, removing the drivers for UUA and the Conexant, and re-installing all again. Also disabled digital audio from my CD-ROM as instructed.

Anyone got any ideas please? Thanks!
