change your diet and do cardio 5-6 times a week (30-45mins). Cut out fatty and non-nutritional foods out of your diet, and eat 300 calories less then your body needs. Best cardio you can do is jog. believe me this works. at least for me it has. another thing. u gotta have patience. weight loss is a long term commitment, it takes time, and the more you lose the longer it takes to lose more. you want to develop proper eating habits to sick with them. so dont strave yourself, just eat, BUT eat healthy foods. good luck and have patience b/c results are hard to come by.

worst advice ever. that will cause your body to go into starvation mode. and what will happen is that your body will start eating away at muscle tissue. YES you will believe your losing weight cause ur losing water and muscle tissue from your body, but your actually doing harm to yourself.

You speak wise words, I have been doing this since August and thus far am 30lbs lighter,

The best advice is not to be dissappointed at losing weight slow. You do not put on weight fast so do not expect to lose it over night. Hard work and persistance is key. Eating low fat and lowering your calorie intake, and also instead of eating 3 or 4 big meals, eat 6 - 7 small meals throughout the day.

And Cardio is a must, and when you do cardio, remember to do some resistance (weight) training as well, because doing cardio also burns off your muscle along with the fat.

You cannot eat less calories than the minimum your body "needs."
You won't be able to function (wasn't it around 2000 calories per day to survive?). Eat less calories than what you are eating now and keep the carbs down. I know, it's hard for Asians to do thanks to our rice diet.

You really have to cut down on your carbs like rice, I stopped eating rice on a daily basis a few years back and it was the easiest weight i ever lost, and im I still kept it off. Now its time to do more cardio to bring down my body fat percentage.

Need more info....how much do you weigh now, how much are you looking to lose. Do you want to just lose weight or tone up and build muscle? What's your current diet and exercise routine like?

Cutting down on the carbs does work but you must maintain a healthy balance by eating greens, fruits and veggies(healthy carbs) along with proteins. doing resistance training builds muscle which in turn increase metabolism which burns fat even when one is sleeping(depending on the level of training). Interval cardio works better because it keeps the body thinking at different training levels so if you run all the time your body would get used to it and would adjust; the idea of interval training would run for 2 minutes and walk for 1 minute and so on. The important thing to remember is not to do this for no more than 15 to 20 minutes because after that you start burning off the muscles that you are trying to build for your metabolism. Try to get a core training program with a strength and power. Within 1-1.5 hours after your workout you must injest protein because these are the building blocks for rebuilding and replacement of the muscle tissues(EAS has a nice low carb protein drink that is excellent for after a workout and can be bought at walmart)
hope this helps because it has for me and I have been a mailman for 28 years and even with all that walking(10-12 miles a day) your body gets used to the conditioning so you must trick the body into training itself

...wow, I'm eating nearly 10 bowls of rice a day. My weight's actually fine and I'm not fat, but this is alarming.

I have a question.. I have been working out for like more than 3 months now been going 3 times a week.. doing 10 minutes running at the following speed.. I forgot what the settings mean but i think it should be the same for all treadmills.. 2 minutes at speed 5 then 4 minutes at speed 6 then 4 minutes at speed 6.5/7 then 3 minutes of cooldown (1 minutes at 4.5, then 1 minutes at 3 then 1 minutes at 2.8 by this time i'm walking)

after that I do 10 minutes on the elliptical.

then around 30-45mins on the weights..

My problem is, I haven't been able to lose my stomach.. is there something I'm doing wrong? I think my weight have stayed the same since I started going to the gym..

Sounds like you're replacing fat with muscle; may take awhile before enough is converted for you to see a difference in body shape.
