Default how do you study?

how do you studY?
Me... i do so 3 days in advance prior to a examination/test.
day 1. I make out lines of important topics and ideas
day 2. I follow these outlines and look thru the text to get more details.
day 3. I look over the outlines before the test.

For me, one day.(the day + nite before the exam)

day 1: learn the whole course from scratch
day of examination: make up stories that is a combination of what I remember the other nite

Note: DON'T STUDY LIKE ME!

even if you spend 2 days studying it goes a long way.

For me, 50% is a pass.
But then, I already have my carreer in a family business.

I look at all my assignments and then look to see what I need to pass.
Say I need 30% on exam to pass..
I pick 10 chapters and study 6 of them.
I go over the objectives for each chapter, and then write out (not read) the answers. Writing out the answers will help u on the exam, because you will remember the strings of text.

Fortunately, I usually ace my assignments, so I only need about 10% on my exams, so I usually just wing it.

You can call me psycho...but keep in mind that I write 100% finals

This is my study regime:

Day before a class - read/skim the readings --> so I read every day of the week
End of the week after having both sets of classes --> summarize that week's worth of notes. Basically to tiddy up my class notes.

I force myself to 'study' about 20 hours a week so any extra time must then be review. Yes, I log my hours to keep track.

50 days before exams start I start working on my Summaries (law school people know what I mean) - which ends up around 150 to 200 pages long usually.

Four weeks before exams, study pretty much from 9am to 11pm on weekdays. Its a 11 hour day but I actually usually get in around 7 hard core hours if there are no classes. On weekends, I usually study slightly less.

Thats how I study.

I can't wait till I finish this ApriL!

it doesn't really matter how I study, if I don't know the course it won't help if i memorize all the concepts. I can't apply it.

My personal Rule: You CANNOT study when you're tired. You'll see the words on the page, but nothing will go throught your head.

When I come home from school, I go to bed. Wake up at like 10-11 p.m., where (hopefully) everyone else is in the bed so that the house is quiet. You're refreshed to study now. Just read (I have close to a photographic memory). I also make acronyms for lists, and as most of the exams are m/c, I just have to recognize the words and understand the concepts. This is done exam week ... or the week before exams/midterms.

On the day of the exam, get together with a study group 2-3 hours before the exam -- you'd be surprised at the stuff u missed while studying! Last minute studying helps for a fresh short term memory. 15 mins before the exam, shut your notes, and just relax. Once the paper is in front of you, u'll prolly go blank for a second or two, but everything will gradually come to ya!

Remember: study when you feel REFRESHED, and not tired. I get straight As when I write my papers overnight, or at times when I'm refreshed!

Day before, read the entire text book. Everything's fresh in my head when I write it.

Woah...not to be rude, but do you have time for a social life?

I remember back in high school I had horrible study habits. I'd study a few hours the night before the exam, rush all my homework. hardly read, yet I still managed to be a B- student. If I would have dedicated myself I could have been an A student but im sucha procrastinator.

Some people are like that, they study all the time and don't go out much..but I also knew people who were so well rounded they would study during the days and always go out at night and always do well in school and their social life.
