Default How to crack master password on pdf files

I was hoping to copy and paste some text from some pdf files I have into study notes, but the pdf files have master passwords on them. Since I have access passwords, I can view the files but because I don't have master passwords I can't copy and paste text.

So it's such an arduous process typing word for word from pdf files.

Does anyone have a way around this?

Thanks

I'll be able to pull it off. I do a lot of breaking of passwords at my firm, when we confiscate hard drives for evidence.

PM me.

::and no, the demand for this is too high for a freeware version to exist. You can check sourceforge, but I severely doubt it.

LOL, use something other than Adobe software.

Ghostscript/Ghostviewer for example...

If you have printing rights, try printing to a new PDF document.

A quick and dirty way would be to screen capture with Alt-PrtSc and paste it into Word with Ctrl-V. Then crop out the window borders and stuff in Word.

hi guys

I could provide the document but it has some private stuff too (eek!)

It's actually a couple files that are each about 200 pages so I'm not sure if capturing the screens would work?

I tried a program called Advanced PDF Password Recovery Pro v2.21, didn't work but maybe cuz I only set to max 4 characters, but boy even that took like an hour or more.

I use Advanced PDF Password Recovery, has never failed on me. You can't just use the unregistered version and get results, you have to either crack that program or pay for it.

I use ABBYY FineReader 7.0. It OCRs the PDF files automaticly and keeps the format too. No need for hacking it... much easier.

problem is if you don't know the master password, you can't access the PDF anyways

PS I tried to register for the Advanced PDF Recovery program but the "register" option is greyed out.

Any ideas?
