funny how you're so scared yet so eager to kill it. i'm sorry i couldn't resist the comment. i guess we're all afraid of something and i think we were taught to be afraid. once we take time to think things through or at least confont it, then the fear lessens. not everything can be unlearned --

Spiders are good.

They eat the bugs in your house. (Not that I'm saying you have bugs in your house)

I just leave em be. I see one maybe every year or 2.

You can't avoid spiders...

I heard that every year we eat a few spiders while we sleep...

One time I woke up in the middle of the night only to see a 4 inch spider (2inch body) on the wall right beside my bed... at my face level! That scared the sh~t out of me...

I am so scared of spiders. I don't know why. I never kill them - I can't. I'm just so scared I freeze. I think it's stupid, but I can't help it. My brother used to have a tarantula and I was fine with it. I even held it a few times. But now if a spider touches me I'll freak out.

I picked up the pants I was going to wear off my floor and a spider crawled out of it! Yikes. Good thing I found it before I put them on.

I make a point of killing every spider that I find in my room. I've had spiders walk over my face while I'm sleeping (it's creepy to wake up in the morning and realize that you've got spider web all over your face), they leave bits of web inside your electronics, hanging from my lamps...

Last Sunday I lucked out and found 2 big ones that were living behind some boxes under my bed. Vacuumed up those suckers, as well as a dozen baby spiders.

It was only a couple years ago that I had so many spiders taking up residence in my room-- that was when I got a decently-fast computer, which kept my room a little warmer than I was used to, so I opened up my (ground-floor) window a crack, and suddenly all sorts of bugs and spiders were making their way in. Last year I was sitting at my desk and I heard a *plop* on the carpet to my left. I looked over to find a huge frikking spider wandering around on the floor-- I guess it was too heavy to be able to hang onto my wall. Pinned that one under a shoe and went off to find the vacuum cleaner. yuck.

I hate spiders...

I hate those baby spiders... very very disgusting.

A couple of years ago, I rolled up a newspaper and smacked the heck out of a spider which was on the floor.

...

All of a sudden the damn thing exploded. I guess I didnt notice that there were dozens of those little baby spiders on its back!!!. They were everywhere! I had to run and grab the vaccuum to clean the mess.

when I pick up shoes from a place they've been laying for a couple of years, I usually make sure there are no bugs in them cuz that would be totally sick if i stepped on one inside my shoe

a week or so ago i came home one nite and as i was unlocking the door there was a HUGE black widow spider hanging off the doornob. i cant handle that sorta thing.
had to kill it instantly. and even tho i'm terrified of them, i HAVE to kill them cuz i cant stand the thought of it being loose in the house.

i have a handy can of raid on the shelf for the times i cant get close enuf. thats the hard part, being able to get close enuf to kill it.

Another reason to wear one of those surgical masks when you sleep.
