Default How to adjust a headphone cord

Hey i just recently bought new headphones . As you all might know, some headphones , one side is longer than the other indicating that you have put the longer side around your neck. I want to make the sides equal but its seems impossible to adjust it. Does anyone here know how. Thanks

What is the point of putting the longer side around the neck? Is there some benefit I am overlooking?

Recable it. Desolder the old cable and attach a new one to it that is of equal length on both sides. If you're not comfortable with soldering, get a friend to do it or something.

Its not as easy as that. Most modern decent headphones are insulated to protect against noise when the cable rubs against a shirt or something. If you put some shrink wrap over it, its gone.

There have been headphones with one cable longer than the other for as long as I can remember. It's just that you don't notice it because the cable is covered by a headband.

The benefit is so that the cable sits on your left side instead of down the middle. Crazy thing is that computer speakers generally have the headphone jack on the right speaker .

By putting the long side behind your neck, when you take off the earbuds, they can dangle downwards without falling to the floor. much prefer it that way
