GameCube has some really fun exclusives, it's the only "current generation" console I own.

The GC is also extremely cheap right now with tons of bundle options. Some of the bundles if you price everything normally (control/game) the GC ends up being $25!

I'd hate to dissuade anyone from picking one up, but the Revolution will be launched this year and appears to be 100% backwards (GC) compatible... unlike the 360 and PS3. Also it's very very likely the Rev will be $200 CAD or lower!

Basically look at both systems and see what games you want to play then go for that system. I own all current gen systems and personally I have played my Gamecube the most thanks in most part by the nintendo exclusives on the console.

Trust me at the price the GC is going for now (plus the price of the games) it is easily the best deal for your cash right now... I highly suggest getting a gamecube.... so many good exclusives!

BTW, i am picking up 2 controllers at wal-mart boxing day.

I agree. With Wal-mart selling the GC for $72.23 on boxing day (page 6 of flyer), you can get 2 systems for the price of the ps2. I don't know why anybody would need 2 systems, so spend the $70 on games and the wavebird controller.

BTW, I remember seeing some Gamecubes having these $10 off of any Nintendo Gamecube controllers. If you can use those, you only have to pay $18 for the Wavebird.
