My folks are getting a digital camera for Christmas and I'm going to have to get them a SD card with it today. Has anyone had expirience with Kingmax SD cards? This one in peticular?
http://canadacomputers.com/index.php...09&cid=990.218 I have no knowledge about these things. How good is it? Will it be fast enough to store and capture videos when using the camera? Reliability? Should I spend double or triple more for a bigger name brand? Thanks. |

I have a Canon SD200 with a Kingmax 2 GB 150x SD card.
Here is the link from CC: http://canadacomputers.com/index.php...38&cid=990.218 I think I paid $29.99 on sale. The card is decent. Even though it states 150x, it isn't that fast. When it writes to my camera, it seems kind of slow but for the price it was fair. No issues with compatability or reliability. Again, decent card for the price. But if you are looking for a name brand with speed, ATP cards are highly recommended (esp. the Pro series). But for simple point and shot picture taking and regular digi cams, this card should be good enough. Oh and taking videos with the card is decent as well, no problems.
