Default Going from 1st year to 2nd

Does it generally get easier or harder? Some tell me its easier, some say its harder. I am in Kinesiology BSc.

I am leaning towards easier since all i need to take now are Kine courses and nothing else...but ill like to know just for the sake of knowing.

Umm... don't get your hopes up.

When I first entered engineering, all I was told was "they weed you out in first year". Then I was told again by a third year "Second year was by far the hardest". When I entered 3A, I was told 3B is definitely hardest, 4th year is a grade booster. I'm about to enter 3B in September.

Strictly speaking, a lot of people will tell you that. Truth is, it gets harder every year, but you learn how to deal with it and budget time. Maybe it's cause I'm in engineering but I don't see why it would be any different in another faculty.

for me in commerce at UTM, 2nd year was much harder than 1st year.. 1st year courses they teach from the basics and up. 2nd year courses..which are mostly eco and accounting courses for me..It's specialized and they assume you know what they taught you last year.. Much more analysis. 1st year was very little (Extremely limited) amount of analysis. My cgpa went one way, and thats down. I hope 3rd year is better.. but I don't rely on it.probably not going to happen.

Im also going into 2nd year this fall too. I personally think it will be harder since first year courses are most general education courses like natural science and humanities

It gets harder every year. By 4th year, I was tearing my hair out during finals in March/April and staying up super late on a regular basis.

The material gets harder and the expectations are higher, but you're also better equipped to handle all of that with one year of university under your belt.

My lowest marks in undergrad were from first year, and I improved quite a bit by second year.

UW Science faculty, 1A is mostly cake since it was a lot of what we did in OAC with some new stuff. 1B was harder.

2A was the killer, because we started Vector Calculus, Electricity & Magnetism 1 and a few other classes. All new material, hard as hell, that was the weed out year.

After that it's smooth sailing.

Your in a non-heavy math program, so it probably gets easier.. Any program, whenever they start Vector calculus is the hard term.
