Default Gas Buying Incentives

I was wondering if anyone has reviewed all the possible gas incentives available. I did a little analysis of my own, just wondering if anyone else has thought this through, or found any more value then what i've described below.

I recently went to a Canadian Tire Gas station and found out that they are giving 2.5 cents per litre purchased for use at Sobeys Grocery Stores as well as canadian tire money if you pay with cash/debit. I don't live close to a Sobeys, and I don't shop at Canadian Tire as much as I used to... so this deal isn't too great for me, but I think they have the largest dollar return if you use those multiplier CT coupons wich give you up to 4-10 times the CT money.

I took a look at what Shell was offering. They give up to 3 cents per litre towards groceries at Dominions/A&P if you purchase exactly 30 or 45 litres. You also get 1-3 airmiles, if you're a collector, and you can use your credit card, which can get you back another 1% or so depending on your card. Considering that there are many more Shell's and a Dominions up the street, this is the deal I like best.

I also considered what Esso is giving. They have Esso Points and Aeroplan points. Both not useless, but not as valuable to me.

Finally, there is Petro Canada giving 2.5 cents per litre if you use a CitiBank credit card.

I'll try working out cost benefits with different fuel purchases if I actually do reach that state of boredom.

Use your credit card to buy CT gift card. If you can buy Gift card in discount, it is even better. That gives you reward through your credit card.

When you use the CT gift card in their gas bar, they gives you CT coupons and Sobeys coupons.

Well, if you live in the western provinces, Superstore and Extra Foods gives back 5 cents/litre that is redeemable in the grocery store
