No, they won't.

You also won't be able to buy it now and go back to have the difference refunded to you on Boxing Day, because customer service will be closed the first couple days of boxing week and no returns or pricematches will be possible during that time.

No one will even look at you on boxing day for a price protection. Just print your fs webpage screen and drop in a few days later when things have calmed down. Only thing you can't PP are door crashers.

Actually, some employees do know what they will have on sale for boxing day so you can just ask if the price will drop further for that particular item.

Good look "price matching" in the boxing day.
Last year the customer service at the 3 stores here in Montreal was closed

to be more specific, FS/BB will not be doing any returns/exchanges on 26th/27th, to accomodate for the expected increase in traffic.

for the past boxing days, FS/BB have been doing this - the CS desk is for purchases only. if you've made a purchase in middle Nov. to late Dec., the receipt will say so, and also tell you that returns/exchanges will be accepted 'til middle of Jan. 07.

not sure about your FS/BB's, but the past few yrs that i've been at FS/BB boxing day / 27th, the CS desk was open, but only for purchases.

A couple of years ago I bought a portable LCD TV a couple of weeks before Boxing Day. So I returned a couple of days after Boxing Day when the return counter was opened and asked for a price match since the item was cheaper by $100.00. I was refused and given a info sheet that said door crashers and limited items do not qualify for a price match.
But the way to get around that is to buy the boxing day special and return the more expensive item for a refund. Most stuff except computers and monitors, digital cameras, camcorders, and printers allow for a 30 day return.
Too bad monitors are 14 day returns. Used to be only computers that had a 15 day return policy but FS expanded the exemptions.

If you're are there in the store to get a limited quantity door crasher you are entitled to a PP. So you're just making more work for yourself by having to come back to the store to erturn the same TV you already bought.

Do what i did last year...pay for the item but put it as a deposit and pick it up on boxing day. u may have to pay the full (boxing day sale price) amount now, but u are guaranteed your item will be there and you dont even have to stand in line. Just walk up to any salesperson and tell them you are here to pickup your item. All the other people were wondering how the HELL i got the item so fast and just walked straight out. boxing day morning doors opened 6am, i was at home in 1/2 hour. funny thing is i could have even come into the store at noon or later and still have got my item, but i was too excited. it can not be sold, because it shows 0 on their computer.. Smaller items could have been purchased online...ohhh but now u would have to pay shipping, but i think its still better than having to wait in that HUGE line...it when around the whole store. and people were buying all the items i bought in the morning. crazy...5/5 stacks of cds blanks in their hands, the $10 router/usb combo...all of it could have been deliveried to them FREE if they bought it online.
So I could order an LCD TV for store pickup the day before and just go in and pick it up?

Any special that are on boxing day are one day special and aren't eligible for PP because of the clause ...

Our lowest price guarantee does not apply to advertising errors or misprints, special educational prices, restricted offers, mail order offers, rebates, coupons, premiums, free or bonus offers, OEM products, limited or minimum quantity or limited time offers, close-outs, liquidations, clearances, financing or other special offers.

have you ever thought about the possibility that if you CANNOT buy the boxing day spcl (due to ltd qty's, and you couldn't get your hands on one), then you'll be SOL and have to return the same item (more $$$ item)

let's recall that last yr, their ISPU option did not exist ... so whatever isajoo said is another story.

now that ISPU is avail., that's nice but remember that if you order for ISPU, i doubt you'd get sth reserved for you; it'll prbly be cancelled due to the likeliness that

1) it's gonna be v. busy on 26th/27th
2) the CS desk will be v. busy taking customers - i doubt they'd get a chance on the ISPU orders...
3) hot ticket items will likely be swooped up by the customers long before the CSRs get a chance to grab one to put it on hold for you.

If I were to show up a couple of days after the sales are over with a printout of their flyer and my original receipt, chances are they will not pricematch?

In the flyer, all it says for the item in question is Minimum 10 per store. Would this be considered a limited quantity/door crasher item?
