Default Why increase the price?

I am wondering how come you increased your price from $1100 to $1400? You should've at least mentioned somewhere that you're going to increase it. I was interested but not anymore.

Yeah. i apologize for the price correction. My friend said i was selling the ring for too low. With the current price of gold and the price of diamonds, the appriased value should be higher than my original cost.

I also forgot to mention that the band is platinum.

LOL....I would say it was aggresively priced at $1100. I have been looking for one for a long time but with no success. Once they get one from Tiffany's there's no letting go.

Please reply PM when you can.

At Tiffany's they do not charge you extra for a platinum or gold band. The cost of the ring is based on the diamond. Hence if you get the identical diamond/stone, it is the same price regardless of the band (white/yellow gold or platinum).

in fact, Tiffany's will also change the metal setting for free of charge after you propose if the receiver doesn't like the type of precious metal chosen.

I guess there has to be some perks for the outragous prices you pay...

If I were you, I would keep the ring for another year because the price of the diamond and platinum band would only go up by more than 25% per year so you would actually get your money back more to sell it next year. That's what I did with the ring I was going to give to my ex but we ended up breaking up before I gave it out.

I think you are selling your ring at a wrong place because people are RFD are looking for super cheap deals but nothing high-end like your TIffany ring.

"eray" please don't suspect because I won't take it lightly. Obviously I was upset that the price was changed without notice but I am not going to thread crap.

A diamond ring is much like a car you're going to lose it's value when you take it off the shelf. Try taking it to Cash Converters cause I can guarantee you'll have a heart attack by what they'll offer. Jeweler's roughly puts about 50-75% mark up on these rings. 50% if you're at a mom and pop store and 75% if you're at the mall. So I cannot see why Tiffany's won't put their margins in the same field. BTW did you guys know that Birks actually uses better diamonds for their highest price rings?

Back to the thread, the seller's price is fair for a Tiffany's ring. And I wish the best of luck finding a buyer.

And "lotion" why do you post the same things over and over again?

LOL...so much thread crapping going on here. INTERESTING!!! So did eray guess it right that it was Bat1983? Now I can see what he guessed it was Bat1983 because that person's join date is on the date that this thread started.

To answer Bat1983's post, I totally disagree with what you wrote. Diamonds isn't like cars because diamonds appreciate every year even it's not brand new. Everyone knows if you are buying Tiffany, you are paying for the brand. Well, that's why every girl wants a Tiffany diamond ring in the bluebox because it's prestigious. I am sure he will just keep the ring if he doesn't sell it now. No point and no rush to sell the ring. LOL...Birks? That's the OLD fashion brand for older people. NOT FOR MY AGE anyways. Besides, no girls ever dream of Birks.

FYI: Tiffany Setting platinum wedding band sells for $485 but the yellow gold band sells for $330

Honestly, you guys think I am thread crapping? I suppose me wishing the seller best of luck couple of times really gave it away. Guess I will just stay away from this thread.

Precious metals always have been rising but who are you going to sell it to? You have to have the market to dish out your product. So yes it will appreciate in market value but will depreciate in real value. Once again my 2 cents.
