Default Free PC to Physical Telephone Calling?

Just wondering if anyone knows if this is being offered anymore. Can you do this through MSN Messenger or Yahoo! for free? Does anyone else offer this service anymore?

I know Skype's really popular for PC to PC calls, how's the voice quality? Is there lag?

I believe all of the free PC-to-phone services have vanished.

There are a couple of recent challengers to Skype:

Damaka

Skype is pretty good. Esp on a PDA, feels more like a phone esp if you have a bluetooth headset.
