Not quite a major problem but it's certainly annoying as hell. The past few weeks, we have been seeing a fly hovering in the house every 2-3 days. I'm not talking about the mini fruit fly stuff. I'm talking about the B52-sized, slow-moving, fly. Those are easy kill because they move slow. But they just keep popping up. Not a large amount, just a fly every couple of days but they are all big. I couldn't figure out the source. At least nothing that we could see from around the house, nor did we do/store anything differently lately. Thing is, we never saw any baby flies and that's what puzzling us
I don't think there's a big problem but we'd much rather deal with it early before it potentially turns big. What are your suggestions? We're looking to get those fly trap tapes stuff. We've looked around the house and we just couldn't figure out where they came from... |

alright.. well this works with any flies.. put in a jar.. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR (heinz) or other brand.. and put saran wrap on top of the jar and poke a hole in the saran wrap so they can fit.. basically when they go in.. and suck the sweet nectar.. they are stuck lol |

i had a prob one summer with those suckers... litteraly 100's of them hovering around my family room light. so many that i could swing a broom near the light without aiming and i could kill/injure 20 easy!
they were coming in when i entered through my side door of the house, first attracted by the sensor light outside the door, and then attracted to the light inside the room. what i did was masacre them all but they still came back somehow, till fall rolled around, then they stopped coming on their own... i dont think it should be a problem for you but if it is good luck! |

Check the ventilation ducts (esp the ones that have slow moving air inside). Flies sometimes breed in there. This also include bathroom/kitchen exhaust fans. Also, if you live in a townhouse or condo, you may have shared ducts with neighbours and their pest infection sometimes comes into your home.
