Have you tried website searches?

www.orbitz.com
www.expedia.ca
www.cheaptickets.com
www.kayak.com
www.yapta.com
www.flightcentre.com

If you post that you have checked all the sites FIRST along with results of prices, you might get more people assisting you. Just some friendly advice.

Thanks for the advice

I'm embarresed to say this but we're really tight with money. My Kids and Wife are actually staying in the airport and couldn't afford to book hotel.

We need air ticket to any city in NE USA or in Toronto/Montreal/Ottawa/Halifax
that are max 4000

The cheapest I could find is Air India flying direct to Toronto. I did a quick check with http://matrix.itasoftware.com and it was cheaper than any of the other major US and Canadian eastern cities.

For either Aug. 4 or 5th,
Adult: 416 pounds (about CAD$750)
Child under 12: 341 pounds each (about CAD$615 each)

Total: 1100 pounds (CAD$1985)

(These prices are from the Air India website)

For a last minute one way ticket in August, I'd say these are pretty good prices.

Whats wrong with transat/globespan/thomas cook? I've gotten across the ocean many times for under 250 each way....

I checked these as well, and they're currently quite a bit more than the Air India price, since we are in the peak season.

As for the problem with them, the only obvious one I can think of is that they might allow less baggage than some of the other airlines.

Why are they stranded there again?
They really ended up in an awful predicament at the worst possible time.
Which airport will they be flying out of? Heathrow I assume.
From what I can see, Northwest Airlines seems to be the cheapest.
$1559 US.

Why not Transat or Thomas Cook? I also have used them many times.

Try Canadian Affair's UK site.
