electrical panel installation

I am switching out my 24 circuit panel for a larger 32 circuit panel. So a basic exchange of panels. I am getting the approprate permit and as the homeowner I am doing the work myself. The panel I have now does not ground the gas line. My question is whether I need to ground to the gas line? If so what size ground do i need and where abouts do i attach to the pipe? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I believe you just use a normal pipe clamp. It's the same one people use to attach the ground to the water supply. Home Depot should carry it in there plumbing aisle.

#6 copper wire with a CSA or cUL approved grounding clamp

Thanks guys. The #6 is the same size for the ground to the water pipe and to the gas line right? Is there a specific place on the gas pipe to clamp to or is anywhere good?

don't take this the wrong way, but are you sure you know what you're doing? If the ESA inspector doesn't pass your work then you're without power until it's approved.
