[Travel] Edmonton to Regina or Saskatoon - $39 Westjet or Air Canada

I know there is a WJ post, but this is EXCEPTIONAL.

Westjet and Air Canada are having a sale, Sept 8 - Dec 16

Edmonton to Regina/Saskatoon (or reverse) for $39 each way!! Travel on Tues, Weds or Sat

Travel on other days is $49, which is still SUPER cheap!

Wow! I don't plan on flying any time soon but that is an awesome deal!

For how short of a drive it is I would rather just make the drive and have the luxury of having my own car there and not having to rent one. But that is a pretty stellar deal.

16 hours of driving for a weekend trip is alot to me. I'd rather the hour flight.

Edmonton to Saskatoon (City center to city center) = 524km. 520km/120km/hr = 4.367 hours.... so roughly 4hours and 20 minutes if you drive. Drive home should be the same, so 8 hours 40 minutes on the road.

If you fly:
Driving time to the airport (depends on where you are 2 minutes-1 hour.... lets say 30 minutes)

30 minutes + 1 hour check-in + 1 hour flight + 15 minute delay to get your checked in + 15 minutes to drive wherever you need to be in toon
That's 3 hours, should be the same for coming back, which makes it 6 hours total travelling time.

For 2 hours and 40 minute difference in travelling, hour and 20 minutes each way.... you get the convenience of having a car the whole time you're there, plus depending on what you drive the gas will be cheaper than the flight.

I was referring to regina more thank saskatoon. I wpould probably drive to saskatoon as well. By the way, 4:20 to saskatoon would be a VERY fast drive. I do it frequently.

Agreed - 5 hours is more in line to Saskatoon. Factor in fuel, mileage, food and extra time.......I'd call it a draw.

To Regina.......cheaper to fly and rent.

That's because you already missed the deal as WJ and AC deals start on Tuesdays and end Wednesdays.
