There are lots of messages about Direct Buy. I though I would add my 2 cents since I have detailed knowledge (business consultant)

1) You can save money, but it depends on what you are looking for (higher end stuff)
2) To pay back the membership you need to buy a lot (say 15-20k to make it really worth your while)
3) Most people don't use it enough
4) You can't see the stuff, and delivery takes time

Do a search - its been posted on here numerous times.
There are pros and cons to using them.

I have a membership and have broke even so far, no more money to buy anything else...

You save a lot of money & yes you have to buy a lot of stuff for it to be worth it. Many people that join & then don't buy enough complain that it's a rip off

which is not true...those people should never have joined in the first place

It's not for everybody

Anything that you want to buy at DB you can see in other stores/showrooms & you have to do your research...many manufacturers have showrooms that you can see their products. Yes delivery takes time but so does ordering from The Brick or Leons

& got our membership back as well. And we are not done yet

If you have two young families, you can definitely share the membership. I have heard of others that have done something similar. How do you get away with buying two fridges or two sofas? Tell them you are buying for your home and cottage.

People who discount the service are people who haven't purchased enough...
