Default [DEAL DEAD and very old] dfsdirect.ca - 21" Trinitrons now in stock, $329

I believe some people were looking for these, so I thought I'd post it.

The 21" Trinitrons are now in stock again, 64 available last time I checked. $329 plus shipping/tax (unless there's some promotion I don't know about).

Dammit, and I just bought my 19"... hmmm, do I want a 21" monitor? hmmm...

I believe that this is only if you had an account before a certain date.

How is the quality on these monitors? They're returned from leases right? Which means they've been used for how long? 1 year? 2 years?

Can anyone who has one please give a review of how good their monitor is working right now? Thanks!

I'm interested in getting the 21" one..

I got 2 x 21" about 10 months ago. They are both working great. I've had no problems with them at all. Great deal. Having dual 21" monitors is great. The colours are sharp and clear. And if you're wondering, they are cosmetically flawless.

I am so tempted to get this instead of a Viewsonic a90f+ for my new computer. I am just worried that it is too big!

I got my 21" monitor a year and a half ago. The first one they shipped me had a cracked screen, so I sent it back and got a new one pretty easily. This monitor has been awesome for me, up until 2 weeks ago, when i came home and the screen was all of a sudden distorted and blurry in places .. hard to explain.. here is a pic of the right edge of the screen (by the way, if you know whats wrong with it, let me know )

The p1110's are close to 3 years old now.

Monitor tubes like these can be left on for 2 years 24/7 before it dies. You know the person leasing it wont take care of it, so think very hard about this before making a purchase. Some of the items being leased were in fact RMA'd items that customers didnt want due to problems.

You pay 40-50% of the retail price, but get perhaps half the lifespan of the monitor.

I would love to be in Dell's shoes for this deal: lease the monitor for several years for a nice profit, and when the accounting dept. is telling you based on past experience the monitor is close to dying, sell it off to people like us for 60-70% of the price they paid.

heh this is probably a major profit center for Dell.

i've always wanted a 21" but with the advent of lcd screens i now want both a 21" crt and a 21" lcd why it arrives [i know there are 18" lcd but clarity cannot match crt monitors]. $380 is amazing no matter how you look at it is a good deal, even cheaper than a tv.

At work we have a number of 19", 20", and 21" monitors that are at least 3 years old and are still working fine. They are on 24/7 all year long and never turned off. The picture on most of them is still good. I find what you are saying about 2 years hard to believe.
