I have the same goodyear Allegra tires from Canadian tire, their GREAT!. these tires are very close to the Goodyear Regatta tires that Goodyear sells for alot more money.........PLUS, DONT FORGET TO BUY THE PLATINUM WARRANTY FROM CANADIAN TIRE!, the deal here is that for $5.95 a tire, if the tire is unrepairable, they will replace this tire for "FREE"!!!, IT is not pro-rated like normal. somehow, I always seem to pick up a nail in the sidewall when its close to worn out and I get a free tire (wow)

How much is the balancing?

Platinum warranty unproated seems like a great deal for 6 bucks, just 24 bucks for the set. Question is doesn't it encourage everyone from literally picking up a nail and assisting it into the sidewall. I've had a tire on each vehicle with sidewall unrepairable damage thus would definitely buy this warranty (BTW: one didn't have factory warranty and the other prorated thus no incentive to assist. Ended up costing $100 each case).

Default Motomaster SE Tires

Great post. How does the Motomaster SE tires compared to Goodyear allegra? They are also on sale now, rated at 115000km and they are even cheaper. Can some one coment on the quality of Motomaster SE tires? Thanks very much.

night and day difference
indeed the allegra is very close to the regatta, I have both on my car actually :P I bought them as my parents run them as well, I have used the motomaster tires and they are useless in the rain and wear fast pay the marginal difference and be very happy

Seems this deal occurs regularily (as buy 1 and second 1/2 off). Web site list each as 75% so same deal cause tires should be mounted in pairs.

Balance is included in CT when you buy the tires.

Thanks for pointing out that. I have updated it in the original post.

The URL of CT is kind of weird.

Yeah these are pretty good tires, i would definately reccomend them.

Motomaster SE isn't too bad, but the Goodyears are much better so if you can pay a bit more pass the Motomaster's.

Certainly a tire I'll never buy again. I purchased a set of 4 Goodyear Allegra tires from CT about 3 years ago for the wife's van. After about 40K all 4 tires suffered some tread seperation, 2 of them serious enough for a Goodyear tire tech to recommend immediate replacement. Only thing is Goodyear won't touch them because these are CT sold tires. And CT wouldn't even look at them unless I had the receipt when I bought them - which I could not find. Guess I should get in the habit of carring around all my CT automotive receipts in my glovebox...

There is a fee for balancing. I believe it's abt $12 @ tire.
And check his drive out price of $447. He said that each tire is only $80.61

Your OP states "Free with every tire purchase at Canadian Tire: New rubber valve, Road Hazard warranty, Installation-(Balancing not included), Rotation every 10,000km, Brake and shock inspection every 10,000km, and free flat repairs.

Good point. How did OP get a total of $447. can2000: Please provide breakdown.

I got my last set @ BigO with free inside patch repair. Had both my flats repair in around 1/2 hour. Typically CT and Costco takes forever, certainly not a sit and wait service.

Need to remember to add $12/tire for fair comparison. Recall BigO, Costco? quoted price included balancing.
