Destro88, i applied for a similar position but with the Ottawa office and they called me 3 times...Jesus

It does take a while though, if my memory served me well, it took about 6 months after i put in the initial application until they first called me. We had to do a GCT1 test and needed to pass but it's easy

Be warned though this job isn't for everyone, there's a high turnover ratio that's why they are constantly hiring. There's a reason why people don't wanna pay taxes in the first place and now you have to call them to remind them, let's just say it is not a pleasant experience.

But if you need the cash then you need the cash. The job does pay well, $20/hr if i'm not mistaken and it does look good on the resume in terms of customer service and call centre experience.

Good luck!

i just figured if i get the job maybe i can move around within the gov't apply internally somewhere else, different positions. Some accounting position, for some reason that job application asked for accounting experience, but i don't see the need for accounting experience if you're doing collecting.. who knows.. hopefully i get something, someone else posted something about applying to gov't jobs and it worked, hopefully they won't screen me out.
