Hello,
I purchased a PS2 from Cowman1208 (Bret Rivard). The PS2 arrived next-day after shipping, and it arrived with one of the audio channels broken. The seller claims that the PS2 was well packed, but it was tossed in a large box with peanuts, among other things (controller, cables, etc). The PS2 was 'naked', with nothing protecting it. However, it seems that the problem was known prior to shipping, as he sent me two cables for which one was supposedly be 'working'. I was told that the PS2 was in perfect working condition beforehand. Here is the link: http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/s...d.php?t=414482 When confronted with this, he refuses to refund me my money, even when I said I would front the shipping costs back for the PS2. I have filed a Paypal dispute, and will look further into this matter. Does anyone have any suggestions? Of the $20k or so I've done trading on Head-Fi, this is the first time something has gone bad, and a totally uncooperative seller to boot. Buyer beware. If anyone else has had any experiences with this seller, please let me know. -Adrian |

Well thats a load of propaganda. But feel free to preach your views on the matter. You didn't even ask why I put 2 sets of AV cables in there, but assumed it was because there was a defect to help your creditability of the story along. You are a piece of work. I understand you are upset because upon arrival you are having issues... but the system was tested before I packed it all up because I played guitar hero one last hooray before I sent it.
If you want to put blame and yell and cry... I would say that you need to look to UPS and how the product might have been handled. If it was dropped or something or feel off a shelf or someone tried to balance of few boxes and this got banged around, thats not my fault. Those are risks you take when buying used items, as to items you purchase in store with a warranty to cover that sorta stuff when you get home. Have a good day. |

If there's anything you'd like to add to that, then go ahead. Your logic is severely flawed if you think that, even IF it was the shipping company's fault, that the buyer should eat the loss. Up to the point when it arrives at my doorstep, it is the seller's responsibility. The shipping I paid included insurance, and it is up to YOU (the shipper/seller) to retrieve whatever is necessary. Even if you phone up UPS/USPS as the buyer, they refuse to investigate into the matter without the seller's approval (I had a $5000+ amplifier go awry recently, and the shipper had to do all the paperwork). Your uncooperation in this matter, both by refusing to do ANYTHING and by just saying 'sorry, your fault' speaks bounds for your character. I -will- be getting my money back from Paypal, and if necessary I will phone up Visa tomorrow and initiate a chargeback. If you want your PS2 back afterwards, you will have to front everything - the time I wasted going through these hoops, and the shipping cost for 2 packages. FWIW: Yes, it did work when you played for one 'last hooray', because you used the optical out? I don't want to hook up my PS2 to my main audio set-up on my desk to play it -- this is a flaw in YOUR PS2 that should have been noted in the For Sale ad.
