I have floor tickets for the Nelly Furtado concert this Wednesday and my wife will be 25 weeks pregnant by then. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on the safety of attending such a concert at that stage of pregnancy. I've searched the Net and I'm finding mixed information. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
EDIT: For clarification purposes, the tickets are for seats on the ACC floor.

i think it's fine...as long as she gets a spot to rest at intervals..
i personally would not want to stand for the whole duration..and it'd be nice to have seats close to a washroom too..haha i'm jealous for the tix too! (but now that i've got a newborn..its hard to get away..even for a couple of hours!) |

Floor seats at a concert are very loud, I've been to a lot of them where I can feel the bass right through my body (which I enjoy!). My feeling is that this could quite realistically be a stress on the baby, and I know that my wife would probably avoid such things while pregnant.
Who can say for sure, really? In such cases, I always think in terms of the potential risk/benefit of it. The benefit is small, a performer you could catch next time, so my willingness to accept even a small amount of risk for it would be nil. |

I would also consider the fact that there is going to be plenty of smoking in the venue, both cigarette and other. I know that they claim that it's a non-smoking venue, but if pop concerts are anything like the concerts I go to there's still plenty of people doing it.

,and don't expect sightlines to be too hot). We both thoroughly enjoyed the DMB show, with no apparent bad effects. Strangely enough though, my 3 1/2 year old daughter's hair is starting to thin on top, and she dances by standing in one spot and just shuffling her feet back and forth!
