as title states.
my computer would be on, playing music and after a couple hours of idling, no sound would work on the computer. as i restart the computer, the sounds work again as it makes the windows sounds when it restarts. after the restart, the sound is back to normal and after a couple hours, it happens again. any idea how to fix this guys? thanks in advanced.

Try updating the audio drivers?

It may be a software/driver issue. That's the first thing I'd look in to, since it's the easiest. I've seen it happen before. After a certain period of time, an auto update would kick in, faulty drivers would be updated, and consequently sound would stop working. On restart, the old drivers are reactivated, and everything works. Rinse and repeat. |
