It's that stupid show-off aspect of the rising black entertainment industry. Look at all these rappers/hiphop artists who get the one big hit and all of a sudden, spending like there's no tomorrow not to mention an expansion of their posse.
This also goes for rednecks like Britney's loser hubby.
