Default Calgary Only: Best Buy Grand Opening Asus 1005HA $249.99 + More

Best Buy is opening a new location in Westhills Calgary and has some pretty good deals in their Grand Opening Flyer. Valid at All Calgary locations Friday, Saturday and Sunday Only.

Gateway LT3111H Netbook
AMD L110/1GB/160GB - $269.99 Minimum 10 Per Store Per Day

Canon MF4350D All-In-One
$149.99 Minimum 5 Per Store Per Day

Logitech MX Revolution

$449.99 Minimum 5 Per Store Per Day

Toshiba 46RV525U 46" 1080P LCD

There's some more stuff in the flyer, but I don't really feel like typing all of it out right now. I think these are some of the best deals, especially the 1005HA.

Do you think it's the same 1005HA that sells elsewhere for ~$369? Or are they pulling a bait-and-switch where their 1005HA's only have 3 cell batteries (the normal ones are 6 cell)?

No store-wide deals. Only the doorcrashers. Front page has a LG 720p plasma for $699.99, not sure who would buy that

Other TV's Toshiba 46" 46XV645U $1199.99, Sharp 52" LC52E77U $1699.99, Dynex 22" $199.99, Toshiba 32" 32AV502R $449.99 and Insignia 42" 1080p $749.99

It should be the same one. It says 8.5 hours battery life, which is the same for the 1005HA Value. A 3 cell would only provide around 4 hours.

Default Asus 1005HA

Does the flyer mention what the operating system is and the colour?

Netbooks only come with WinXP. Pretty sure colour selection will vary.

Since when did BB start carrying the 1005HA?

Blue is what I have been told. They don't seem to know what OS, the Northland store speculates Windows 7 Starter since it is a new model, but won't get any in until tomorrow and the computer doesn't say. Regular price is $339.99.

But 1005HA is hardly a new model. It's been out for nearly a year.

To answer all the questions, it is an error in the flyer for the specs.

Color is Blue, Windows XP and 3 Cell (Not 6 Cell Battery), so FacistCop was right about pulling a bait and switch.

Er...? The 1005HA released in July. It's not even been out for 4 months, and is certainly the newest 10" model. How quickly we forget...

when they change the specs of the laptop, usually that comes w/ a diff. MFR PN

not too sure about whether or not that happens when there's a change in OS
