I'm temped by that too as I need furniture and a tv anyways.

Any way to get a cheaper stand? Or are you pretty much stuck buying the $300 one?

I wonder how much they are over charging for the couches if they can afford to give you the TV for free?

well, subtract the cost of the TV from the price of the couches, then divide by 2. That is probably what the couches are actually worth.

That's hilarious.

They'd do better saying "LCD TV for $2113 and get a 3 piece couch set FREE!"

hmm, the TV is not an LCD TV, it is LCD Projection, big difference.

http://www.thebrick.com/Application/...Code=50V525SAT

Looks like the same TV in black.

So you overpay for the sofas and get an old technology TV, great. Not. Is anything the Brick 'gives' away anything but end of line crap that they can't sell for retail so they write it off by giving it away?

I've never bought anything major from the Brick but it always gets to me when I see they are 'giving' away garbage to get you to buy their overpriced stuff.

Bottom line, anything projection will not be as good as the real thing.
i.e. LCD > LCD projection

yeap, LCD Projection is the current projection technology but it is a dying standard as LCD/Plasma are taking over.

LCD projection are equally good if taking advantage of HDTV programming.

No...you don't understand. LCD projection is just getting an LCD of a certain size (in most cases really really small like a few inches) and then projecting it onto a larger screen. How is that going to give you equal quality to a pure LCD TV where each pixel is represented physically?
